Hey guys, I'm new here and last August got a 1998 Camaro. Its been in storage all winter and i am eager to bring her back out. I am planning on ordering a Flowmaster catback system but am having trouble deciding what i should go for. Im looking for a smooth clean sound, not raspy or anything. Also i dont' want it to be too loud but i want it to be noticed. So all you guys who have flowmasters or anyone just give me some advice. Thanks.

For a catback, well I heard the American Thunder system comes with the 80...The +98 year comes with a resonator, supposed to smooth out the sound some. I haven't heard it, though, but it seems to act like the Delta.1998 3.8 Camaro A4,
B&B Triflow CatBack,Whisper Lid,
1987 s10 Blazer 350 V8 shift kit,

HOw does it sound around 2-3k rpms? My Delta is not raspy, its smooth but sounds too high pitched in that range. Below 2k and above 3k actually sounds good (sounds closer to stock, a little louder) At 5k (or so) it does sound raspy but I'm not up there long anyhow. ;)1998 3.8 Camaro A4,
B&B Triflow CatBack,Whisper Lid,
1987 s10 Blazer 350 V8 shift kit,

The 80 series sounds like complete *** ! Do what I did. Cut EVERYTHING behind your catalytic convertor off and throw it away. Then weld a turndown in where the "S" pipe used to be. It's loud and saves a ton of weight! I have yet to be pulled over.

http://www.cardomain.com/id/nitroxxx28

Orignal series I heard does, but the Delta doesn't sound that bad. It sounds like a single (muffler) version of a mustang I heard going by which also had that smooth but metallic higher pitched sound in mid-range. The delta sounds a little better on the outside because its the interior it damps/effects.
I'd go with the AT though...only reason I didn't was because I had a few extra dollars sitting around 1998 3.8 Camaro A4,
B&B Triflow CatBack,Whisper Lid,
1987 s10 Blazer 350 V8 shift kit,
