• Well Guys...I'm A Hypocrit!

I made the switch BACK to the flowmaster 80 series from the dynomax superturbo for three reasons: 1) I got it used and it was already broken in (A Big +). 2) People here said it sounded alot better with a bigger I pipe and highflow cat (I have both now). That made me VERY curious. 3) I got it for FREE (The Biggest + Of Em All)!

My honest opinion: AWESOME! It's alot more rumblier and gurglier than my dynomax at idle and through the rpm range. Even when the muffler has warmed up, the rumbly idle is still there. NO RICE. If you don't know exhaust sounds, it can easily be mistaken for a V8. However, it does rattle a bit up high, but it's not a hondaish ricey rattle. It kinna sounds like a V8 fbody with a cutout type rattle. I'm never switching mufflers again.

congrats on moving to the "dark" side as some would say. I had both mufflers and they were both good. I love my Flowamster 80 better than the Dynomax tho!

Dynomax was too quiet but it did have an exotic V6 type sound. I like being loduer and all the other good stuff! Don't forget to tell those mustang peeps at the other forum that you now have a performance muffler so you can't whip all their butts.

Oh yea, after hearing Jamie's car i am getting rid of the Ravin and stock cat for the 3inch American Thunder Catback and going with a Catco 3in in/out cat.

I've had my Flowmaster 80 for about two months now...it sounds deeper than when I got it. It's hooked up with a 2.75" I-pipe, stock cat and SLP CAI.

I wonder if it will "break-in" more...at start-up and low-RPMs it sounds very bad *** . Can't wait for some headers and at least...a new cat, probably not hi-flo since I'm in Cali.
