Both the I pipe and highflow cat makes it sound alot better, but the highflow cat itself is what really brought out the sound. 99Camaro and Blizzard, get a highflow cat and ya'll will really love it then.

I wish I could get a hi-flo...I'm in Cali. I might have to settle for a new GM one...at least it will be new.

I don't understand why you guys always make recordings where you rev it in neutral. Every recording I've heard sounds like that. I just think you should make recordings of you driving it since that's when you here it the most. I just can't tell if I like it or not when you're reving it in neutral like that. Maybe it's just me.

Agree with willow. Even the dynomax I had made the chainsaw sound when reving past 3000 rpms, but the flowmaster chainsaw sound is deeper. Under load is a different story.

Come on shortdog, hook us up with a sound clip. Also that raspyness when reved in nutral above 3k, is it V8 deep or almost v8 deep? LS1s do the same thing as our V6s but when they come back down it is deep. Oh i meant to ask you, do you have the tubular manifolds or the wrap-arounds?

hey hey now, my sound clip I did everything, slow take off, WOT, and neutral revs so you can hear it in msot situations. BTW, my file is not 56K friendly...sorry. I feel for ya! Shortdog, I'll skip the hi flo cat, I like my less popping high revs. :D

Toast, I'll have to find someone that can record it for me. It's very close V8 deep. It's not a ricey rattle. That's for sure. I have the stock manifolds on the ride, but planning on getting headers soon. Camaro99, The popping doesn't bother me, but I thought the highflow cat help take away some of the popping, not make it worst.

Hey shortdog are your stock manifolds the tubulars or the wrap-arounds. I am trying to get an idea on what the sound would be between the 2. Also i am considering getting the 3inch American Thunder set up with a catco cat. I just hope that it will sound as good as many people have said.

I have the tubular manifolds like yours. You should try to get one used (already broken in) off of Ebay. My muffler is 2.5" in/out. I don't think the inlet/outlet sizes on the muffler make a big difference. I'm planning on getting 3" tailpipes also.

yeah, i agree. im just lazy. i made one from inside the car while i was driving but it sucked. i didnt make one with me driving away cause i was making them alone and i didnt feel like putting my dads two thousand dollar laptop on the sidewalk in the middle of the night and just driving away :D

I hooked a cheap tape player and microphone in my front yard, mainly to record the high. Revs sound blah. I did get it up to about 2000 rpms maybe higher while driving away couldn't go too fast with neighborhood homes
