• Which cold air intake is the best?

My co-workers daughter bought a 1999 Firebird and has starting the mod process. Which CAI do you like? She's not going to get real hardcore with it.

I wouldn't suggest using any kind that block the front of the radiator. I believe this kind of ram air device denies necessary cooling of your tranny fluid and makes your auto tranny run hot and cause faults such as the code P1870 which the 4L60E is known for. I would recommed the whisper lid along with cutting out the bottom of the airbox and raising it with about a quarter inch of washers and a K&N filter.

The Supersucker ram air kit. I gained 13rwhp on the dyno over stock with this CAI. With the Supersucker and the SLP lid I picked up 24rwhp.

Did you do your own dynos before and after your CAI or is that what you were told you should get. I believe that much HP at the wheels is a dream.
