  • Remove exhaust?

I was wondering how my car would sound if i removed my whole exhaust including the cat and just leave the i-pipe? Right now i have flowmaster 80 series and i am gonna take off my cat today, but i was wondering how it would sound and perform if i just removed the rest? my friend says it will sound mean as hell w/o the cat, but should i take a chance and remove the rest too?

removing the entire exhaust would take the i-pipe off, too. if you run gutted cat/no cat, it'll make it deeper, and lose some backpressure

Id love to hear it open Header. Id Bet it would scream, Id say louder than any Fully piped LS1. This engine is a beast open Cat, Im affriad to run it open header but I want to =) You'll gain a lot of HP with open headers. but U will lose just as much Torque, to ur off the line will be slower but once ur moving u should be flying. I noticed this with open cat - due to lack of backpressure ( which is what really makes Tq when it gets down to it. ) Let us know how it goes.

I have EVERYTHING behind my cat removed. I have a small turndown welded where the "S" pipe was. I's loud as hell.

will it sound deep to? cuze i dont wanna sound like i have some kind of high pitched exhaust. i want it deep and loud and i also was considering just gutting the cat, but my friend said not to, b/c it will cause a rattle in the muffler.
