    Hey,

Just looking for some opinions and options for what I plan on doing soon. I'm waiting on the Pacesetter headers/ypipe for the 3.8L 99 to come out. Until then I'm looking to get:

    - 3" Catco converter
    - 3" I pipe (off of a Z28 at a junk yard? What's the best place to get one)
    - 3" S Pipe (same as the I pipe)
    - 3" Magnaflow exhaust

I already have the FTRA and Whisper lid (K&N as well) installed.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Actually, the I pipes off the V8 fbodies are 2.75", not 3". You can either check the junkyard or a local fbody website in your area for one.

        Don't quote me, but doesn't a WS-6 come with a 3" I-pipe?

The cheap way would be to find a 2.75" I-pipe somewhere (junkyard, for sale on other boards).

Summit sells a 3" Dynomax I-pipe in two pieces for about $100. You can buy an aftermarket catback for a pretty penny more, but it will include an I-pipe, muffler, and tips. If you're set on Magnaflow, they probably have one available. I know that Flowmaster does.

As for your 3" S-pipe, I've heard you'll need one if you use a stock Z28/TA I-pipe (they are not the same size, but it's a simple task to stick in a reducer). I've got one for sale in the For Sale forum if you'd like to check it out.

Feel free to hit me up on AIM.
