I think I have the notorious Y-pipe rattle. I am getting it looked at this week to make sure that's it, and not the converter. I have searched and it seems that an easy fix is to torch some holes and weld the inner/outer pipes together. How have the solutions worked for everyone? Does the weld last? Some have bought used y-pipes, but won't those end up rattling too in the long run? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
