My question is what is the difference between the cold air intakes off ebay that cost 20-60 bucks and the SLP CAI that costs 200 bucks? Does anyone have these ebay cold air intakes on there cars and how do they do and if there worth the 20-60 bucks? Thanks

The SLP CAI is made of quality materials. It's mass produced and used by a lot of people and has a good reputation.
The eBay CAI's are made of a metal pipe from Home Depot, a cheap air filter, and a $0.75 clamp from your local hardware store.
I just ordered the SLP CAI from FTPP yesterday... I wouldn't put one of the eBay things on my car if it were free. Don't trust that.1996 Pontiac Firebird
Black, 3.8L A4

If you want to use a home made intake wouldn't it be better to make it yourself? If you don't want to pay full price, wait for one to go up for sale.1999 Pontiac Trans Am M6 Far from stock.....

You guys answered my question. I figured that the ones on ebay were cheap, but I didn't know they were that cheap. SLP CAI is the way to go. Thanks guys.2000 Firebird 3.8L, GU6, G80
Maple Red Metallic
And the rest is all stock.

SOLD:94 Firebird 3.4L
Flowmaster 80 Series
