• Idle prob.

I have a 2001 firebird v6 3.8 with a raptor hood and K&N RAM AIR intake system. I have just upgraded the exhaust with a 3" performance CAT and a Magnaflow 3" CAT back system. The car has been "sleeping" for this horrible Canadian winter, and when I recently went to start it, I have noticed that my idle seems to be off slightly. Is this due to the mod I have recently made? Maybe because my car has been sitting for a while since I have made my modifications? Or is this something the JET PCM I have also recently purchased,(But haven't added yet.)will correct? Thanx for the help guys.

Mine stutters for a while when it's been sitting out in the cold for very long.

Unhook the battery over night to let the pcm reset. Hook it back up in the morning and let it idle for about 15mins. After it's heated up take it out for a good long drive and make sure to vary your speeds some so that it gets used to how you want it to accelerate. Your problem is most likely just from it sitting in the cold for so long. That should cover all the simple problems but if it doesn't work you might want to have a shop look at it. Oh, and changing the fluids after the car has been sitting for a long time couldn't hurt anything either. Good luck
