• Post your Exhaust sound clips here...NOW

Ok, i think that because most of the time, when getting a new exhaust, most people are going to base decisions on, sound... therefore, it seems to me to be a good idea to have everyone who has contributed a sound clip, to post in one large on going thread for all of the new comers, and old timers who wish to listen when considering a new system...

please post a description about what system you have and if you can, try to post clips of rev as well as load clips... to give a nice overall sense of the sound...

i know that everyones recording equiptment is different, but there are certain things that you can pick up, no matter what the equiptment, such as rasp and that sort of thing, so dont worry about that..

ill start off
i have an SLP loudmouth with the resonater replaced with a Dynomax bullet

http://home.att.net/~darkecho/allout.avi

my clip features some revving and some load sound as well...

keep in mind that this was the same day as install, so it didnt have much time to burn in, now it sounds slightly different but not much, this clip shows it well enough... please limit the amount of compliments, as this is one of those informational threads, but feel free to email people with compliments :-D this is merely a reference thread that will hopefully help out a lot of exhaust noobs :0

POST AWAY!!

This is a good idea, and if the links can stay active, I think the mods should make it a sticky. 3.8mustang has a thread just like this.

BTW, I actually like the sound of your loud mouth. Sounds much better than the TSP rumblers I've heard on V6's.

3.4 w/ rumbler and my 3.8 w/headers, hi flow cat and loudmouth here http://www.turbov6camaro.com/video/CV6SLP/v6rev/
This should be made a sticky so people don't keep asking about exhaust tones. Only bad thing is that they're quicktime, if anyone knows how to change that lemme know.

This is on pacesetter headers, stock cat, LT1 I Pipe and Magnaflow muffler.

The stock cat has recently been "altered"...

i thought the magnaflow was quiet, or did you just take the muffler from it. i dont like the idle stutter sound, whatever that is

We just got a new digital camera for xmas that takes nice videos WITH sound (unlike my old Nikon 3100) so I'll have my exhaust clip up here in a day or so.

BTW my setup is 3" Magnaflow Cat, 3" SLP S-pipe, Borla XR-1 Bullet, Hooker Aerochamber Muffler.

Pacesetters and Cut-out are coming in the near future!

the first lm sounds decent, the second lm sounds pretty good at slow going but really weird up top, like a fighter plane or something, then teh magnaflow sounds pretty good revving but yea i dont like the studder at idle either, most magnaflows ive eard sound real fake and really sound like a wet fart or something, but that seounds pretty good revved, did the headers do that to the sound or did it sound the good before the headers??
