3.4 Intake

I read (on this site) somewhere that there is an "L" shaped silencer in my intake. And that removing it could help loosen up a few HP. Well i took apart my entire intake tube and found no such thing! Is this not for my year car? 94' Camaro V6

i believe that is for the 3800 series engines (3.8L ones)

Ther is a tube that comes off your passenger side valve cover and and EGR tube off your intake. Removing either is not going to gain you any HP IMHO. When I had mine 3.4L I tested both and never felt/saw a difference.

Okay, here's the deal, I only gained about 3 hp from doing this. But, It somewhat acted like a cold-air intake and lowered the temp significantly. All you do is remove the airbox from your car, set it to the side. Look in where the box was and you'll see 2 plastic pieces, the one on the right just needs to be yanked on and it'll pop out. On the other hand, the one in the front needs to be pryed out of the hole it sits in using a screwdriver. It only took me about 15 minutes. It is all located around your right headlights. Easy job to do, but not much of a hp gain. Only upside is louder exhaust and cooler air. Good luck! ;)
