  • B&B triflo cat-back

I recieved 1 reply on fbody but I want alot of info on this system b/c I'm not going to waste the $. How is the B&B triflo exhaust for a 3.8 V6?
Does the tip style (twin or quad) affect anything other than appearance? And the most important, how does it sound?

Performance wise, its the best exhaust system you can get. Better gains than any other cat-back out there. Depending on how big the tips are, they shouldn't make much of a difference. I would go with quads though.

What about the sound? Someone said it was a quiet muffler, how much louder than stock?

I have the B&B tri-flow with the dual tips (not the quad, they would look too large IMO) & I love the sound and looks.

Not too loud but definitely aggessive and louder than stock. I get a lot of compliments on both the look and sound. It sounds a lot like a Buick Grand National but about 20% louder, plus it sometimes pops and crackles when you let off the gas or shift (REAL cool). Also, the bark on start-up on cold mornings is particularly loud and a great way to start the day.

            I would definitely recommend.

The B&B is a bit quieter than my Flowmaster was before I took off the cat. I couldn't even hear this firebird when we were racing, of coures it might have had something to do with me being a car length or two in front front of him, ha ha. He said he also had headers, he sure spent a lot to be slower than me.

I always get complements on my quad tip B&B exhaust, for the looks and the sound, many people think its a V8, its a great buy and its one of the bests mods Ive done to my car. Its pretty quiet at idle, but when I take off it sounds great, not too obnoxious. definatly one of the top exhaust systems for our v6's.

Well I should be getting my B&B from UPS today. Dunno when I'll get it installed but I'll let ya guys know what the sound difference is from almost stock Y87 exhaust but with Trans Am/Formula tips. Not sure but thinking about getting some CIA headers and would get them all installed at the same time but dunno yet, any ideas if i should do them together or seperatly?

                  Thanks!

if anyone wants to buy mine in TX you can. It's been off my car for about 5 days and I've shined it up some in a few spots. Mainly just the muffler and tips. It's getting a good scrub down though and will look like new. If anyone is interested make an offer. It's welded or I would just ship it to anywhere in the US.

                      i have the B&B triflow exhaust w/ quad-tips
it sounds really awesome i have a clip on my website but the sound quality is really crappy. this exhaust system gave me a great amount of more power. i really recommend it and it looks so AWESOME!!! it's not too quiet either... i've found it quite comparable to the HIGHER sounding exhaust systems.
