Catback Install

how hard is it to install the catback exhaust that RKSport offers??? maybe it doesnt matter what brand but how hard is it to remove the stock exhaust and install a catback exhaust??? tell me the steps it would take too please, you dont need to be too specific. i just want a general idea of what im getting into.

Cut that old **** off with whatever you want and then place the new catback and weld away..maybe that's a bit too vague [img]redface.gif[/img]

exhaust pipe cutter from a parts store is like 5$, buy one, chop old exhaust off, clamp new exhaust on, drive to muffler shop to get it welded if you dont know how / dont have a welding rig

I hate to post a [img]graemlins/bs.gif[/img] , but did you do your catback install yourself with I-pipe,with the car on the ground. If you found way to get the pipe over the axel without lifting the car up, please tell me cause that would be a great inovation.

I admit I haven't done a catback install on a 4th gen, but I did do it on my 3rd gen.

-The steps included
-Lifting car on hydrolic lift on frame
Cutting right behind the cat and before muffler
to remove old system
- Making a chioce to drop axel, or temp. remove
heatguard to gain clearance.
- Easying the I pipe over the axel and clamping
on the muffler and then clamping I pipe to the
cat.

Your right everything is easy except for getting the new I pipe over the axel. I just don't want you to mislead this rookie.

well, i have access to a lift so it was fairly simple, it wouldnt be that difficult at all with two people, a creeper and jackstands
