why do you want to swap? With headers, my magnaflow is loud...much more than my flowmaster, but havent been able to compare it to the Rumbler though. Id almost swap you the rumbler for my setup, but im too lazy to change exhausts again.

Ellik, You suggested a Magnaflow for me, but I'm wondering if it'll be too loud too. I'm really just looking for a nice easy rumble. I have heard the Flowmaster muffler alone on a v6 (not the cat-back) and loved the sound.. would that pretty much be what a cat-back will sound like? why did you get rid of your flowmaster?

my v6 catback flowmaster sounded good. not wonderfull, but good. it was a nice tame sound at low rpms. got compliments on it. the resonator in the I-pipe of the cat-back helps the tone too, so its not going to be the same as just a rear section. Remember, the 2 1/2" v6 cat back has the resonator but the 3" v8 cat back doesnt.
I was changing to headers and high-flow cat and I figured I would upgrade exhausts too, since the 3" system would mate right up rather than putting in reducers to couple the flowmaster in. I also liked the fact that the magnalfow is all stainless steel and will outlast the Flowmaster. Also, I thought that the 3" system would be more beneficial if I did a cam or power adder down the road and wanted the extra flow. Had the rumbler been out at that time, I probably would have bought that. If you dont plan on headers, the magnaflow might be just the tone you are looking for. With headers, there is no rolling up the windows to dampen the sound. Under load anything above 2000rpms is...well, very noticeable. Most of the time I like it, but after a long day at work or something, it really sucks if you have a headache and have to drive. Like I said, the Flowmaster I had sounded good, but you could roll up the windows and not really hear it unless you were at like WOT, which I dont do very often.
