I just received my Flowmaster kit #17358. Popular Hot rodding magazine just did an install article on this system and had some problems with getting it all lined up properly, they said because it was the 1st one off the production line, the system had some production bugs in it,that would be worked out.I was reading on another message board that a guy installed the same system had the same installation problems.Has anyone installing this system had problems? I'm handy with tools do you think installation can be done by myself in an afternoon?

The only problem I encountered while installing it is that it was hard as f*** to get the Y-pipe over the axel.

The reason why this was so hard is because of the mounting bracket that is welded onto the y-pipe (s) part, there is just no way to twist and turn the S pipe through there.

I had to cut the bracket off, and later re-weld it after the S pipe was mounted over the axle.

The mounting bracket also had to be reshaped a little bit for proper mounting.

Other than that, it went all smooth

Here are some pics of my install http://www.v6firefury.com/exhaust/

What they did in popular hot rodding magazine was drop the panhard bar to get the pipe in.
