I want to install a cat-back, and I can't weld...so do I have to take it to an exhaust shop? In other words, do any systems bolt on?

depends on which type of cat back. What brand and series are you going for?<a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/512325\" target=\"_blank\">2004 Silver Impala</a> Faster than my Firebird<br /><br /><a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=282862\" target=\"_blank\">3.4L Red 1995 Pontiac Firebird</a><b> For Sale</b>

You could always install it yourself, Then have it welded later. I haven't tried it but I guess it would work. You can saw off the old system and put the new system on, by taking the same diameter pipe but OD and some exhuast clamps. Just slip the OD pipe over one of your catback pipes and butt it up to the other pipe, then slide the OD pipe into place and clampt it.
They sell short OD pipes and the clamps at autoparts stores.
Then when you have it all installed, all you gotta do is take it down to a muffler shop and have them remove the clamps and weld your joints. That way if they charge by hour, you are not going to have to pay for some guy to play around with your pipes.

thanks guys. I'm thinking about either getting a full cat-back, probably the SLP loudmouth or an American Thunder, but that's only if I get some unexpected money :D
I'm probably going to buy just an 80 series flowmaster muffler w/ a high-flow cat (don't know the brand) from a guy for $60.1997 Camaro 30th Anniversary...M5, chrome 16\" 5-stars Goodyear 245/50R16<p><a href=\"http://members.cardomain.com/issycamaroman\" target=\"_blank\">http://members.cardomain.com/issycamaroman</a>
