I live in NJ. Im prob. gonna get a sweet-thunder muffler.

If i get the sweet-thunder muffler i would want to put it in place of my i-pipe right after my car.

Is there a specific law on where i have to place my muffler??
Would the way i want to set up my exhaust be alright?

i've never heard of any law that it has to be placed in a certain spot. there are too many different car designs to say a muffler has to be in one certain spot. i believe that as long as it has a muffler on it somewhere and it meets noise polution laws, then it's ok, whether the muffler is under the drivers seat, under the trunk, or whereever.
you can\'t get off if you don\'t get on

Usually the reason its located in back is interior noise levels. not law.

Actually, you want the muffler and tailpipes as far back as possible to prevent carbon monoxide from entering the car. I knew a guy who got partially poisoned by CO because his pipes were too short.

I was definetly gonna have tail pipes coming out from the rear of the car, so carbon monoxide shouldn't be a problem.
