dont take my word for it, but i'd imagine that it helps for performance as well as sound: considering the fact that there is a lot more flow thru the cat when its gutted

Buy a high flow cat instead of destroying our atmosphere.

i gutted my cat cause it was clogged...better performance than a clogged cat...as for sound...worse
i get alot of rasp past 3k you should either get a high flow cat or a resonator where the cat is if you dont have emissions
        im gettin a resonator

The reason I am gutting my cat instead of getting a high flow is my cat is totally clogged.
When you gut the cat does it make your car sound like a ricer.

no, i didnt notice a huge difference in raspiness when i changed from high flow cat to gutted cat. its a little louder, didnt notice a gain or loss in power.

a gutted cat and a high flow cat do about the same in destroying the atmosphere. :D
