  • pacesetter people, how do u adjust the steering column??

i dont know if this is in right forum, but anyways just needed to know how to adjust the steering column from stop rubbing the drivers side header. Mine seems to be rubbing, so could someone detail how to change it up.

Mine was already maxed out so I bend that primary away from the linkage.

Drive the car so the headers are nice and hot. Leave it running. Hammer down a big pitch fork in between the linkage and primary. Leave it there for 30min while car is running. Shut the car off, leaving the fork there. When the headers get cold again remove the fork. Repeat if necessary.

Grind down the shaft with a Dremel.

I did that first...not knowing I could adjust the linkage...just round off the edges a little.

Yup, i just took the shaft out and threw it on the bench grinder. Took some meat off of all sides, and it fit fine.
