my best suggestion for a muffler that sounds stock and doesnt cause performance loss would be.... stock.... lol. If you want to sound and perform stock then stick with stock.1998 Firebird 3.8, A4
Mods: Alum Ds, Yank TC 2800 stall, Rksport lid, FTRA, SLP air temp sensor, K&N, Flowmaster catback 2.5\" w/cutout, 3:42 gears w/LSD
Best E/T: 15.6 @ 86 mph (w/o gears / lsd or verter)
Best 60: 2.234
www.teamfoxfire.iwarp.com -- club site
To come?: l67 piston package hardened, turbo? spray? low 12\'s? well see

Dynomax is the way to go. I have one, and it idles smooth, but has a nice mellow tone when you step on it. I honestly didn't want flowmaster because of the idle tone. I personally don't like the loud rumble sound of a V6's exhaust. If I want to be loud in my 3.8, I turn my radio up.

lol if you think my Dynomax was loud, wait til you hear my Flowmaster. Actually I posted it not too long ago if you wanna see it. It's under intake/exhaust here way down at the bottom.
