Tri-Y headers

I was tossing around the idea of putting on a set of Dan's headers on my Firebird. I run a set of his Tri-Y's on my other car and his products are excellent in every way. However, I went to his web page today to check out the latest product offerings and found that he's only advertising his headers for 98 and up. Take a look:

Why won't these work on the 96-97 with the 3.8? Is there any difference in the engine compartment configuration or other reason that these couldn't be used with my car? I'm stumped!

i would think they would work, but im not sure. try contacting them and asking what problems you might encounter.

Never heard the term "Tri-Y" before.... have a feeling its a worthless term to describe headers on a 6cyclinder car tho. What does it mean tho?

Tri-Y's are a trade name for Dan's original headers. When he started out he was making headers exclusively for the 94-96 B-body with the LT1, since then he has branched out into other vehicle makes & models. Tri-Y's are the holy grail of headers for the B-Body community along with his other product, the Quad-1's.

It's like anything else, when you have good success you go back for more. I know Dan's products, from personal experience, are everything he promises & more. There's many good header solutions for our cars, don't get me wrong. Just this one is exceptionally backed & a good product. Now if I can just be sure it'll fit... [img]smile.gif[/img]
