  • Magnaflow is on!

So far its great. I like how its quieter than the rumbler. Only thing is, the tips arent quite straight... i mean one is closer to the liscense plate than the other. I believe the left side is center and the right is sorta pulled left. its off by maybe a half an inch so its not a lot... plus the tip sticks out a little more. Its not really noticable but I was trying to get things perfect.

I ended up using their hangers as well as the stock one on the right side. Its not going to fall off at all. LOL U can hang on it and its not gonna go anywhere.

The sound is nice. Sounds good at idle. I have not yet driven it but so far its nice.

I just wish i had some dual/dual tips or used those ractive smoked tips i had from the rumbler on it instead of the LONG 3.5inch slash tips. I just think the cut outs on the bumper need to be filled out more. Someday I will put the ractive tips on I have.

I took it for a drive today and I really like the quietness on the highway... to me its hardly noticable but then again I had the radio on.

Two complaints tho. When i hit bumps I hear it hitting under my car and it freaks me out... Anything I can do about that because its kind of loud and I dont want to damage something. Luckily I have a 4 mile ride to work one way so if i must endure it all week, it will be ok.

Another thing that bugs me is are the tips= one is a little crooked but this weekend i am gonna cut off part of the pipe that connects to the muffler (bout an inch in or less) and reconnect which should center it better.

My dad wants me to get rid of the rumbler and someone who is local was interested in it but i dont know if it will fit their car. For some reason all the clamps are gone. LOL

BTW to the person to ask how it sounds under load... its medium loudness and sounds pretty good and it quiets itself down a bit while just crusing around. Its just what i wanted... a little bit of noise during acceleration and then quiet (i didnt want a drone the entire ride).

                  Overall its medium loudness.

I have had a magnaflow on mine for a year now, it's always done that thing with bumps to me...well only bigger bumps. I've had the thing strapped down about as good as it can be, and it still happens to do that. I've been told it's b/c the magnaflow muffler is heavier than others. Also I thought the tone of mine was good but I thought it was too quiet. After it broke in though it kept a good tone but is just loud enough to not be all ricey. Hope any of this helps.

mine doesnt rattle on bumps.... it rattles at stoplights, but thats in the hanger and I need to get it fixed.

as for your tips being off center, mine were like that too, but worse than yours, it sounds like.

I had a guy cut the tips off and bend new pipes coming out of the muffler at the correct angles. Because the slash tips are so long, and the actual tailpiping is short, we didnt have enough leverage to bend them to the correct angle.

                          glad you like it!!

sounds like it was a sloppy install, there shouldn't be any rattles or crooked tips if installed correctly and carefully. Mine looks great and I love the sound.

Just spend some time tweaking the tips to get them straight and find a hanger to fix the rattle
