I still have the stock CAT on my 96 RS...im startin to get this smell comin from my car when run it for a while....could this be from a dead CAT?

my opinion is if u have the smell... its clogged weather you feel a performance loss or not

It could be... I hit a cat once and it really stunk. It was dead but I saw a tail hanging down from underneath... have you checked for that?

cut it off with a sawzall, clear it out, then take it to a shop and pay them $20 cash to weld it back on! you're halfway there already...
