I want to know if there are little patches that i can stick to the bumper so that the tips dont rub and possibly melt it...

I work at Trek bikes and we have these little carbon fiber patches that you stick on various spots on your bike where things rub (wires or chain) to protect from scratches and that horrible chain slap noise. Would it be ok if I used something like that and put it on my bumper so it wont touch?

This upcoming weekend I am going to try to adjust it down a little but I dont know if i can do that because the hangers are pretty secure as they are and pull it level a little bit.

Go to autozone or your local parts store and buy longer ruber hangers. by the way on magnaflow stock ruber goes on non factory mounts an new ruber on factory mounts.

I like mine tucked up next to the rear bumper...never had a problem with them hitting or melting it.
