Finally a setup that does not involve a lid...
If it does show some better # I'll jump right on it. Still it looks so much better than the lid.

For the K&N Aircharger, you would need a Ram-Air (Functional) Hood to have the same effect. Not that there is anything wrong with this setup also! 2000 NBM Pontiac Firebird
3800GT Performance Package

Intake, Magnaflow Cat, Flowmaster Cat-Back

Try to make the Induction piping one whole piece, it will look 10x better!

The guy's name is Robert and he drives a pewter 99 Camaro. I know he is on some of the online forums, but I'm not sure about this one.
He said he really likes it -- his intake actually has a note now since the piping is metal and not plastic (Plastic isn't so good at transmitting sound) and he said he could tell quite a difference over his stock airbox w/K&N drop in.
I left him a message asking if he'd be able to go to the Dyno in Denver with me this Sunday so we could compair intakes, and I am awaiting his call back.
I'll keep ya'll informed ;)-Aaron
\'92 Beretta GTZ Q4 5spd - 13.31 @ 104 MPH
Is there a big difference between the CIA and ram air kits i mean they both bring air outside of the engine bay. Just one is in front of the radiator and one is under the driver side head light. Also do you think the gains would be similar between the two and if not which one would be better because i am very interested in a ram air kit but the CIA looks very nice too. BTW very nice job on the CIA looks clean. Just looks kinda of weird since of use to seeing a lid.98 white Camaro V6 w/ factory GFX
Stock for now.
Future mods: CIA header, Whisper air induction lid, SLP Loudmouth exhaust and with more to come in the future.

I looked at the first pic on there,And I noticed theres a big empty space missing,I still have a big black piece sitting there and a cold air intake about a inch above that.would this balck piece be the air siliencer?$Ryan$
95 3400 Teal Green FireBird M5
Mods: see link http://lowrider.cardomain.com/id/mystical420
1986 Gold Mazda B2000 ROTIP :)
*New*74 Moded 350 Chevy Pickup

I'm not sure on that one -- the test Camaro's factory air equipment had been cut up pretty good by the owner before I even saw the car.
And to answer the question about which would make more power, my CAI or a Ram Air unit -- it'd be hard to say. A properly designed intake should allow maximum airflow to the engine, therefore, theoretically they would both make about the same amount of power. In that case the main differance between them would simply be looks and sound. (And FYI, the stock airbox lid will fit back into place with my intake, so it wouldn't leave a hole)

I think that setup would work nice for the 98 models since they have that angled TB. Would make more of difference compared to the Whisper Lid and FTRA since those are more for the straight TB. Any idea on when it is going to be released? Any cuts or anything we have to make a stock Camaro?98 Camaro V6

The only way in the WORLD you'd get water in that intake is if you submurged the entire front end in water (and no matter WHAT intake you have, it'll get water then).
My company is based in Colorado sir, so I have first hand experiance in some of the worst snow/rain in the country, and I would not design, much less SELL, an intake system that would be in a position to suck up water in a daily driving situation.
