I was reading about the GMMG chambered exhaust. It is for the V8 boys only. I know that V8 systems are supposed to fit on a V6 by slightly modifying it but what exactly must be done. Do the pipes have to be bent or heavier hamgers installed or what? I plan on doing this myself so I need to know what needs to be done before I start.

It depends on which LT1 systems you are talking about. The systems designed with the single cat LT1 in mind have an I pipe with the s-bend included. The mounting points to the cat are the same between the V6 and the single cat V8 cars. The pipe diameters may not match up, but the actual location should be the same. The problems arise when you try to use a V8 system designed for a dual cat system. The Y-pipe on these cars extends further back on the car and therefore the intermediate pipe is shorter. Because of this it will not reach up to the cat without adding an s-bend section.
So, if the LT1 system you are looking at is for a single cat LT1 there will probably be no extra piping needed. But you may need an adapter to match the outlet of the cat with the i-pipe inlet. If the system is for a dual cat car, then you will need to have a pipe bend or welded up for you to use. I think SLP also sells an adapter kit that can be used, but may be a little pricey for what you get.
You may also have some issues with hanger. Shouldn't be a weight problem, but GM changed the type of hanger they used. But that is generally an easy fix by changing the hanger on the car.
Hope that helps some.
