Is the Catalytic Converter under warranty??

Is it under warranty for 8yr/80k for california too??

In the warranty booklet, there is an asterisk(*) for 7yr/70,000miles for California emissions coverage and a double asterisk(**) for Federal emissions coverage.

When I look at the list of what is covered, there is both the single asterisk and double asterisk next to the Catalytic Converter.

So, California only gets the 7yr/70k?? Or does the Federal emissions apply to California too??

I have 72k+ right now,,,,,

not sure about what you mean by warranty..

i know you can't change/alter the cat on a vehicle thats less than 5 years old, or has less than 50k miles unless it's damaged. That's in cali at least.

Warranty, as in replace for free when something goes wrong within specified yr/mileage. My cat is in need of replacement.
