I got tubular manifolds with Y pipe of 2002 Camaro and did installation yesterday. I used vipers guide. For tubular manifolds it is little bit different.
Difficulties:
1. Air condition tubes of the compressor are on the way.(pass side)
2. Oil dipstick is on the way (deriver side)
3. EGR hole is in the different location.
4. 3` pipe by the cat is not round (bad if not welded)
Bending those tubes makes installation possible.
Pros:
1.You can do your sparkplugs in 10 min
2.I had mine painted before install – manifolds look awesome!
3.Way better flow, especially for the price/value ratio.
I didn’t feel any noticeable performance gains, but my muffler definitely sounds louder/deeper. So there is, probably little gain.
Now troubles:
First stud that I did(pass front) I have broken.. (very good start..), the rest went very easy. How would I get broken piece out?
Ticking noise from the driver side, I guess EGR tube is not sealed. Can I just plug that hole with the bolt and be done with it? Options?
