    Finally - the Sound!

    So - began with Flowmaster American Thunder catback and high-flow cat. Muffler was Flowmaster 80.

    Car was so raspy & loud could hardly drive - although sounded incredible idling if you were outside & standing behind.

    Took off brand new cat & put on 18" Red Devil glaspak straight-through resonator. Much better but still irritating.

    Took off Flowmaster 80 & put on DynoMax Super Turbo muffler.

    Rumbles & roars just right - no rice or rasp.

    It would have been cheaper I think to have made to order at Ryan's shop down the street.

    Oh well - finally got it right.

        You like the dynomax?

        My freind has one on his 3.8 and I told him I'd put a cam in the car for free just so I didnt have to hear that hideous sound.

          I love it but also have a resonator in front of it - no cat. We don't have emissions testing here.

            I had a Dynomax and it was very quiet. Didn't sound too bad once I got on it either. I regret cutting it apart to install the Flowmaster. That thing makes some friggin' noise!!

              Where can I get this dynomax muffler and for how much?

              I have an slp loudmouth exhaust coming in soon and know they can get pretty obnoxious on even v8's... so will the dyno muffler work with this?

                They make a full dynomax catback, it might have the muffler part on it.

                  Any parts store should be able to bring in. PepBoys for sure. DynoMax SuperTurbo 17739. Cost will be be about $60.00 to $80.00 I would guess.

                  It takes the rasp out of the exhaust & leaves a very pleasing growl.
