Looks good but any type of metal used for the intake will get hot in underhood temps. And hot air tends to kill Hp. Just my OP.

I dunno about the CAI heating up to much just cuz of the metal, I wouldn't be to worried about that. Looks decent to me, something someone made themselves in their spare time trying to make some money, looks decent though.

You are dead wrong. This WAS a common misconception until someone measured both inlet and outlet air temps in the SLP CAI, also made of metal, and didnt find ANY difference in the air temp.

Should be good, get it dude! Looks good, obviously better than stock, and it doesn't cost a whole lot either. I'd say go for it!

Metal will always affect the air temp. There is no way around it unless its insulated pipe. I can remember opening my hood and touching the stock plastic piece it was really hot after driving for a while. Whoever ran this test on air temp probebly dint take normal underhood temp into consideration or had the hood open in the process. That doesnt count.

i have a metal CAI and after about a 45min drive going 85mph+ the metal was slightly warm, so i highly doubt metal CAIs will affect air temp.

I got that same intake. Much better that stock. I would like to know how it compares to the other pricey intakes. Can’t be much difference.
