I have a magna muffler with my stock pipes and it sounds good. But once I put in my mid-tube pacesetter with a catco high flow cat, man I never thought my car would rumble so much.
This guy that owns a muffler shop told me that flowmasters on a V6 doesn't sound that good. He told me to go with a borla or magnaflow so I went with magnaflow.
I've also heard a few V6 cars with a flowmaster and compared to magna I think you should go with MAGNA.www.dontforgettotakeyourvitamins .com

I just got the Flowmaster American Thunder 80 with the resonator installed last week, and I really like the sound of it, doesn't sound ricey at all, even at high rpms. And the sound inside the car is still at a reasonnable level. Performance wise I don't really know if it changed much, I only had my Firebird for 10 days, so I'm still not use to her. It is not too bad for a car, but after my Yamaha R1 (crotch rocket), I feel like Im back in the slow world...lol...cars are slow unless you get a $100000 Porsche Turbo or a Ferrari... Well, at least I may be able to avoid a few speeding tickets now, and no more crazy top speed (189mph on the freeway here, try to beat that with a car;).

i have the flows, and my only problem was my dumb a s s installing the muffler wrong so everytime i go over bumps it bangs against the body in the back. it really sucks. i love the sound of the flows. i have not heard to sound of any other one yet. if you get the flows make sure the muffler is angled right so it wont bounce around.
but i want to say that flowmaster is a company souly for exhaust. they only produce exhaust elements. IMO i think this is better because mt research is backed into their products, its worth buying. they are not a multipule product producer. only exhuast. it think they are great. but my all time favorite would be BORLA.Heady Navy Blue Metalic
Heady Catback Flowmasters
Heady Bilstien HDs, PAnhard rod, LCAs,SFCs
NGK\'s and MSD Wires, K&N flowin + Smooth Bellow
Y87 3800 GT Performance.
I love the way this car makes turns!

1989 black Camoaro RS. KidCamaro, sorry to dissapoint you, but your friend is a liar...the speedometer on the R1 won't go any further than 189mph. It is a digital one and it goes up to 189mph, not more. But well, it is a common thing amongst rider to lie about their top speed, but in that case your friend got owned!!!

I have the Flowmaster American Thunder 80-series catback, system 4 a 3.8L...lemme' tell ya' a lil' bit 'bout what sux. There's a pretty crappy "drone" on the highway @ times. Although, w/ 2 10" Kicker Competitions...it's not a huge prob. 4 me. Sometimes (an' I'm not totally positive this is the exhaust) it'll sound 2 me like the pulses R tryin' 2 cancel each other out, @ a certain RPM...sounds dreadful, 'til U whack the gas. It tends 2 SCREAM Ferrari-Style, in the upper RPM's(which w/ an A4, U don' get 2 enjoy 4 very long), but it's somewhat "tame" soundin', down low. I guess some people like it this way. *SHRUG* I noticed a pretty good increase in power after initial install...an' got a HONEY O' a deal on the whole system. But BEWARE...it's barely been on, an' recieved SEVERAL coats O' exhaust paint B4 install...already got a coupla' rust issues, as it's NOT Stainless Steel (pay another $400 or so, if U want that). But I do have it mistaken 4 a V8, quite frequently.
