Well i went to a local exhast shop to get an estament on an 80 series flowmaster and a new cat he told me that since i owna 96 that it has something called odb or something like that. Anyway he said that i could only buy a remanufactuerd one that is going to cost 325. so the grand totoal with exhaust and cat would be 638. can someone explane why a catco cat would work for like 60 bucks. oh yea i live in california so emesision are tough here. so can i hear from some california drivers who have cats. thank for all the help. let me know if i lft anything out.

Oooooo, I dunno about that california stuff.
I run the $60 catco cat and it works fine for me.
Don't you need a california certification thing or something?

You need to find a better exhaust shop... if you need to, try a nearby state [img]smile.gif[/img] Itll pass carb smog test fine with a catco, but california shops are picky and like to charge a lot if you need a custom exhaust.

I there a o2 sensor after are cat?? or should i just have a friend weld the cat? And one more question what is the part # on the cat that would replace my stock one. thanks again for all the help.

hey 12 second v6 i have to give you props on your car it look very good. I have question for you i want to build a car just for the track and for some of the street races her in town i kinda want to get anther 3.8 or a 5.0 mustang just cuz there cheap. there are not that many people that do alot aof thing to 3.8 cars here were i live. would you recomend this or should i get the 5.0. Evan thought the brid or camaro look way better.
