And when they took my car off of the rack, it had a NASTY pinging sound. They spent an hour looking for the cause but couldn't find it. It sounds like an acorn in a coffee can, It happens when I take off in drive and fades away. It also happens when I slow to a stop in reverse. It dosen't make the sound when idle, power braking or while driving. I took it to my mechanic and they can't find it either!! :mad: :mad: I know it's a vague discription, but does anyone have an idea?? It sounds like it's coming from the center/front area of the car! It also seems to be running a bit hotter as well.

Maybe a small peice of metal stuck in your muffler?!

Check your cat. Aftr I got my flowmaster put on I had a little rattle too. MY cat was falling apart from the inside. Get under the car and shake and tap on the cat, it's best if on a lift. Good Luck

same thing happened when I got mine flowmaster installed,the converter was making a bad rattle .after few weeks of driving its gone now :D

i just dont see how putting tips would cause any noise like that, or even make the car run hotter. i dont think thats the problem. but i wanted to warn you about chrome tips. make sure you keep them clean. i let mine rust up and it only took 3 months for them to look ugly as hell. i HAD to go and buy stainless steel
