I've noticed recently looking around a bit people modifying the upper intake manifold for v8 throttle body apps. Can anyone give me a point in the right direction, I've been looking for a few days and really haven't come across anything worth looking into.

Here are some pics of mine:

Sorry for the blurry pics...it was a crappy camera(and no I'm not still holding my throttle cable on w/ cable-ties ).
That piece that's added on it a milled out solid block of aluminum. And then it was welded onto the cut off stock intake. It came out very nice I think. I had a machinest where I work fab it up for me. I basically just told him what I wanted to do and gave him the stock intake and LT1 throttle body and he did the rest.
There might still be a few places out there that will do this mod to a 3.4 intake but it's always been super pricey. But any good machinest/fabricator should be able to do it.

Hey TurboProject, did you notice any difference with that larger throttle body? I was always told that that mod was a waste because our intake manifold doesn't have enough flow for a bigger throttle body to make a difference.
What size TB is that, by the way?K&N CAI, Magnaflow High Flow Cat, Flowmaster American Thunder 2.5\" Cat-back exhaust w/ 40 series Muffler (single piped exit), Pacesetter Midlength Headers, TB Bypass.<br /><br />Vid of my 3.4 - <a href=\"http://media.putfile.com/Headers49\" target=\"_blank\">http://media.putfile.com/Headers49</a>

It's a stock LT1 twin 48mm throttle body.
I noticed a little bit of difference in throttle response. But not much as far as a gain. But I wasn't expecting much. I just put it on my stock engine/manifold.
However, with the new engine I'm building up with ported heads and upper/lower intake I'm sure it'll help from keeping the throttle body as being the bottle neck.Wayne<br />94 5 spd Camaro<br />Turbo/Intercooled<br /> <a href=\"http://www.geocities.com/Mustang732/cars.htm\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.geocities.com/Mustang732/cars.htm</a> <br /><br />Megasquirt Stand-alone EFI controling fuel/spark w/ wideband:<br /> <a href=\"http://home.att.net/~basic-4/2ndMegasquirt/NewMegasquirt.html\" target=\"_blank\">http://home.att.net/~basic-4/2ndMegasquirt/NewMegasquirt.html</a>
