  • Opinions on my plan?

Taking a big of a plunge here, would like to know what everyone thinks. I think I have come up with a pretty good setup and questions are welcome.

    2000+ Manifolds
    Stock Y-pipe
    Catco #6007
3" S-Pipe (inspired by shortdog, two 45 degree mandrel bent pipes)
    Stock LT1 I-pipe

    - then my dynomax muffler and tips which are already installed on an otherwise stock exhaust.

My only mental hangups are possible SES light and how it will sound. I've heard a bit about raspiness with the high flow cat. I've decided to charge on ahead with it anyway. Labor isn't an issue, so what's everyone think?

Try and port the manifolds as much as you can before you put them on the car. That will help alot. Should work well.

Thanks, Scott. I searched it on the board here. Unless it's easier than I think, I don't think I have the facilities available to me to port the manifolds, even though I would like to. Would going as far in as I can with a dremel do the trick?

Yeah, that would not hurt. You'd be suprised how far you can actually reach down into those manifolds since they are shorties anyway.
