It is really LOUD, a little deeper, and rattles the entire car above 2000 rpm. I love the bada** factor, but its gonna get annoying after a while. I guess I'll just alternate driving with it on and off.

It?s an Y pipe that is put on the exhaust, usually before the cat. When closed the exhaust runs normal, when opened, well its open. Ever heard of running open headers? Its pretty much the same thing.I have made a lot of money in my life, most of which I spent on cars and women.
The rest I have blown.

Pic of my cutout with a custom turndown tip which takes almost all the rattles out of the car and makes it slighty quieter inside. BTW on a LS1 a cutout is one of the sweetest sounding things, that is if you like loud, raw V8 sounds.

I had a pipe made like that, but my wing nuts are too wide to screw in. I'm gonna have to get new wing nuts or take a pair of pliers after the ones I have.-Eric
2002 Navy Blue Camaro...Striped and Stalled. 35th Anniversary SS wheels
Best ET: 15.384 @ 88.32 on street tires
Project Whitney: Goal, 14.0 1/4 by summer 2008.

You might have trouble getting it on before the cat. A lot of people find it easier to put it on before the overaxle pipe because of the clearance issues being all the way up there. Plus it would rattle your car even more then it does all the way up there. But hey if you do then more power to ya.

And would also give you lots of little SES lights unless you had O2 sims.
