Is the free ram air worth the time? Is there a noticeable sound difference? And should i be worried about water getting into the engine causing hydrolock?? Thanks

I did it to mine a couple of years back and yes water can get in. The top of my WhisperLid got a few little wet spots from a rainy nite after driving for about half an hour. I didn't follow any cars to avoid the mist from the tires. The filter was a bit damp.
Performance wise, the engine was more free-revving. But the filte gets dirty HELLA fast. I'm thinking about making my own "block off plate".
