yup, and ive heard many lt1's with true duals, and both of em with open headers .. it still donsent sound as good as a stang with a flowmaster 80 series IMO.. but to each their own

I'm not a fan of the GT exhaust note. Nor am I a fan of the Cobra's. Too high pitched for a V8 to me. I'm sorry, but the old 5.0s sound waaay better (to me) than the 4.6s. Now before you get all upset cause I said it's high pitched, don't think I mean it sounds ricey, or whiney or whatever.

not at all man. i agree with you totally...me and one of my chevy buddies were discussing it one day and we agreed that the GMs have a nice deep rumble, but the mustangs have a higher pitched almost "hollow" sound to them. when i was a GM guy i loved the sound of a mustang, now that im on the other side i love the sound of a GM...ok hell i love the sound of a V8 chevy or ford.

That's how I wanted to word it. Hollow. Oh well, I don't think the GTs sound bad or anything. I'm glad you understood what I meant. It's weird how things turn out. I'm sure I'll love the sound of the Ford GT (you know, the GT40). Oh and the new Hemi sounds pretty good with a new exhaust.

I guess you never heard a 3.8 with headers, 3inch catco, and 3 inch american thunder cat back.. At idle all the way to 3grand my car sounds awsome.. at an idle it drouns out almost every LS1-LT1 and GT's.. Dont believe me I live in Virginia beach and drive home to Jersey alot so if you want to hear it let me know..

Here is there anyway you can stop by my house, i would love to hear your car. I live in DE right over the Delaware Mormorial Bridge, so i am not far from Jersey. Let me know man.

To 95Batmoble my 3.8 does not sound like a bumble bee and it even sounds better than most 3.4s. 3.4s sound close to a cobra with crappy exhaust because they both have boat motor sounds.

I think i do. You can also take 1 all the way to 95 north instead of hitting 13. Right before you get to the bridge ther is an exit (last exit before the bridge) for RT. 9. You will se Mike's Famous Harley Davision on the coner there. We can meet at Mike's Famous in the front parking lot. Let me know man.

I was originally going to shut my mouth on this post butt... I've heard a lot of LS1s, drove a few and I always thought that stock sounding they aren't that great at all. They're soooo quiet. Sure when they're getting on it, it sounds a little mean but other then that, i'm not impressed at all. The LT1 sounds light years better then the LS1.

quote:
I rank the GT sound, slightly better than the stock V6 stang sound, and only a couple points up from a fart can. However, when it comes to LS1s, it's almost a spiritual experience

Ok the GT sound is slightly better then a V6 Sound, and at the same time, slightly better then a fart can? So in other words the v6 mustang sounds like a fart can, so a few points up, your basically saying the mustang gt basically sounds similar to a fart can? Buddy, you can't be serious. I equally like fbodys and stangs. Partially because everybody at the shop I work at owns a mustang, and I have friends that own LT1s. So I been around enough to hear a lot of the cars, and different setups on them. And as of now, it's definatley gonna go to mustang for the best sound in exhaust.
