well, cale is shipping my exhaust system to me and i'm expecting it some time next week. so, me and my friend went out and cut my old muffler off right past the over axle pipe, before the muffler--we faced it down. it sounds pretty good to me...except about 4500 rpm's and up--get's just a little raspy for me. i don't know about the gains--i'm trying to convince my friend that helped me (yes, the one that beats me by half a car length) to go race me tonight so i can see if there is a difference.

Most cut outs go before the cat? So just chopping off the pipes right before the muffler....Isn't gonna do to much, give ya some sound thats about all well I don't know for sure so tell us the outcome of the race.

i raced my friend--lost by about 1.5 car lengths as opposed to about 1/2 that he usually take me by. it seems i lost torque and hp. and i put my spare tire/jack back in the car to make up for the loss of the weight and my tires stopped spinning through 1st.

I capped mine up friday for the first time since I got it 3 weeks ago. It won't be uncapped again for a while, maybe never. It's just wicked loud and rattles everything inside the car. But sometimes loud is good.
