Yesterday I got my second SES light in about 5 months and today I miserably failed my emissions test with the Catco. Ended up removing the Catco and installing a Carsound converter. The Carsound passed with flying colours. Another thing I noticed is that my exhaust gurgles less and is less raspy – maybe it’s all in my head or perhaps the lack of backpressure the Catco created resulted in the raspy tone.

Probably just needs to burn in. Once it burns in, I would expect the sound to change a little.
do you know what the legal limits for hydrocarbons are in canada? i havnt had to get emissions since i put my catco cat on .. hopefully i pass
I guess Canada does a smog test on all the cars there? I know down here for OBD2 cars you just can't have any SES codes and you'll pass. Unfortunatley, I did, so i just reset my PCM long enough to get through inspection. LOL
