  • Pipe needed for S-pipe

I know that you need 2 45degree mandrel bent pipes to make a S-pipe. I'm going 3" all the way.
I'm going to order them from JC Whitney and wanted to know if this is the right one.
Radius 6", Diameter ID 3", Diameter OD 3", Stk. No. 815C938A, price $20.99

just get 1 U- bend from jegs, the shop can cut it in half and weld it back together, i think it was around $20+shipping.

Doesnt 2 45degree bent pipes flow better though? I remember reading something like that in a old thread but I can't find it.

if a u bend is cut in half, you get 2 45 degree angle pipes. i dont see why the other would flow better,

im not going to be able to get a pic anytime soon, possibly sat..

If you cut a 180 degree pipe in half, you would get 2 90 degree pipes
but oh well, the U bend is half the price of 2 45 degree bent pipes. So, I guess I will get those
