Speedy V6 Camaro, I noticed that you have a 98 and you say that you removed the air silencer. I've been wanting to do this to but the angled TB makes finding ductwork that will work. What did you do and could you send me pics of it. email, mtbikerinme83@yahoo.com. Anyone else with a 98 that removed the air silencer, feel free to respond too.

There are pics on my site. Just some vent ducting....I just ordered some good 4" intake hose...problem is there is 10 ft of it and it cost me $75....but I had to cause the ducting keeps getting holes in it....so this should work. Let me know and I will sell you a chunk of it for what it cost me plus shipping....should be here this week.

That works too....but I hear that some have problems with the intake hose. I have ordered one of the MTI Clear lids and will use that along with the intake racing hose.

the angled tb makes the hose kinda scrunch up, causing the diameter to decrease and hurting air flow... i wonder if something could be designed to make it flow less restrictively?

No problems with it scrunching up here.

I can see where it may scrunch up, but it's still a constant diameter all the way through. It's got support inside the hose to keep it that way.

Speedy V6 Camaro, thanks for the input, let me know how the new hose goes and stuff. If it works better than the dryer duct I might try it

Speedy V6 Camaro, how is that now hose working out now that you've had it on there for some time? Does is kink up at all? Got any pics? I'm still interested in maybe buying a chunk off of you if it worked well.
