gr8 deal on the whisper/filter/cleaning kit, $79/hr would be a lot if they took like 4 hours to install, which it shouldn't. you're looking at like 30 minutes, so go for it, you saved some money now spend it where you need it, get the exhaust done right.

The CAI is an easy install, you just need a drill and a jigsaw.....As for exhaust, Check around on ebay.....I got a brand new Flowmaster 3" system minus tailpipes for $150, and Magnaflow systems run about $310-$330, shipping included, depending on pipe size.

don't buy from LMmotorsports.com they overcharge for everything. I have flowmaster exhaust going into dual tips, k&n filter, whisper lid and ported hood nostrils with piping (cold air/ram air). Once my car gets warmed up I've never gotten a bad comment on my exhaust even high rpm its not very ricey although it does thin out a bit. Idle vs Idle I hang with my friends tri-flow corvette. The biggest difference i've felt after all my mods was:
            1. K&N: none
            2. Exhaust: Sound but a little ricey up top
            3. Whisper lid: Nice sound coming from under the hood and added some more noise to my exhaust.
            4. Ported Nostrils: Overall performance improved, throttle response improved, top end performance gain, exhaust note improved once car is warmed up.

I would like to see pictures of the custom piping from the ported nostrils. I have the ported notrills too, but I am still working on a design for the piping.

I have to finish it first =). Basically i'm taking the measurements and getting a sheet metal shop to break the metal into a carboard cutout i'm making. Then I'll weld the top onto the metal they broke and tack weld it into place. Next weld it up solid, grid it back down and paint it black again =). I just have to find time to finish the measurements. When its done I'll post pics.
