Anyways, I called a place out here in Vegas to do my exhuast and I asked him about changing out the cat conv and he said I shouldn't change it because it has a 7 year manufactor warranty on it. Should I still change it? I'm getting a flowmaster.

Change it with a high flow cat.

      do what 6666 said,
Remember, if you have even an inch of 2.25 in your system it makes your 3' catback equals to 2.25 = stock.

Is that a good high flow cat? It's the flowmaster 80 series product number 17358

          no but thats a good cat-back ;)

thats the exhaust i have. i love it. pretty quiet idle but has a nice rumble to it especially at WOT. it comes with the resonator so the rasp isnt bad at all.

if you look at the pick the pipe going into the resonator is 2.25in which is stock. they do this so it bolts right up to the stock s-pipe. if you gonna get a high flow cat your gonna have to cut that pipe off and get a new one that is either 2.5" or 3" depending on the size cat and s-pipe you use.

im planning on getting a 3" cat with a 3" s-pipe and then getting a reducer and drop it down to a 2.5" pipe running into the resonator. you have a lot of options so im sure someone else will chime in here soon.

if you go with the flowmaser buy it here

Cool, thank you for all the information 99camaro. Where is a good place to get the cat and the s-pipe? I'm not too familar with the exhaust system. Thank you everyone for all your help.

s-pipe you can buy the SLP installation kit, you buy a 3 inch "U" bend and cut it in half, flip one side over and weld it back together. for a cat ebay is probally your best best, magnaflow's 3inch cats are i think $65.
