Another exhaust question??

I went the performance shop today, cash in hand, ready to purchase a cat-back set-up, most likely borla, simply because it's "the best". But the guy there was tryin to sell me just the rear section kit because only it was listed as for the v6 and told me that the other set-ups were not for my car and would make it run like sh*t. I was under the impression that the v8 systems were perfectly fine for our cars???

the v8 catback will fit, but the hangers wont line up so you will need some new ones.

i have the back section, and it works fine, sounds great. i didnt go with the catback cause i didnt want to sacrifice any off the line torque that would come with the possibility of going from the stock 2.5 pipe to the 3" of the borla. i stuck with the stock 2.5 pipe and just got the rear section, and it works fine.
