hi, i currently have a 94 3.4 w/ headers, catco hi flo cat, and dynomax super turbo mufflerdual 2.5 in & out). i have the stock 2.25 i pipe, and found a junkyard by my house with a 2.75 Z28 pipe. i am worried about the power loss issue, is this a good move, and do u need any modification to the pipe for it to fit. need help fast because i am supposed to pick it up tom! thanx

Last week I put in a Flowmaster system with 3" piping into the muffler with dual 2.5" tail pipes, and I can't feel any power loss. I would recommend that you upgrade your air intake (CAI, K & N fliter, etc.) before going to a bigger exhaust. After that it should be fine. As for modifications, you shouldn't need any. Most muffler shops can bend the diameter on the end of a pipe to make it fit to weld.

some people think a 3 inch is too big on a 3.8, but some like it. a 2.75 might be comparable to that for a 3.4
