Okay, a few of you know I have owned a loudmouth exhaust system for a while now. The extreme interior drone is starting to get to me. Is it possible that I could have an exhaust leak from say, the top of the weld that the shop could have missed? Just curious as to how loud anyone else's is on the inside of the car. I didn't mind too much at first, but when I got inside an old Mustang Fastback with true duals and no mufflers it wasn't nearly as loud inside the car as mine is. Any insight or is the loudmouth just that retardly loud in our cars?

Well on my car, me and my buddy hooked it up with just clamps. My car its rediculously loud on the outside, but not nearly as loud on the inside. I'm assuming since an LT1 isn't very loud on the inside, there may be some leak. If you want get under the car and listen at any points where there is a weld in your system.Black \'94 Trans Am A4- SLP CAI & Loudmouth
Red \'93 Firebird A4- Ram Air under the WS6 hood, !cat, exhaust.

Its loud on the inside to the point where my dad finally got in the thing, then promptly got out. Its still at the shop and they'll be putting a new cat on it I will have them check the rest of the welds while they're under there. I'm pretty sure about 5 times yearly there is a thread about loudmouth being too loud. Makes me wonder what people think when they buy an exhaust called loudmouth. I knew what I was getting into and I was fine with it. I didn't think my parents would make me change it though :( I miss it, especially now with the cam.\'99 SSM Camaro V6 M5
(mod list on cardomain site; too long to list here)
http://www.cardomain.com/id/v6cam99

well then you should have done what I did and put a cutout in :D More on topic, Its probably just the loudmouth. Its so loud that i dont see how you could ever tell if you had an exhaust leak... I mean it sounds like one big exhaust leak as it is.2001 Arctic White Firebird With Black Drop Top

3:42 Gears
Zexel LSD
BMR upper A-Arms
Trans Am exhaust with 3\" I-pipe and cutout
Modified intake
Mecham Hood
Trans Go shift kit
Making rear control arms and panhard

i've had my loudmouth for almost two years i think and i have never had anyone complain about it being too loud inside the car. it has never bothered me or any of my passengers. sometimes i wish it would be louder so i can actually hear it inside the car.http://www.cardomain.com/id/ohmygoth

Well I've had a few people complain, thats why I had asked about the interior noise. Its ungodly loud outside of the car but I gave it this theory: If you blow one of those big horns the sound emits from the horn pointed away from you and isn't anywhere near as loud as what its pointing at. Then factor in an insulated enclosed space like the car interior, that should be quiet enough to talk to a cell phone on. So if you can relate to that at all to figure out how loud it is in my car, having a cell phone conversation its difficult with many "What did you say?"'s comming from the other end.95 3.4L
http://www.myspace.com/1277388
http://www.cardomain.com/profile/altspacen
http://groups.myspace.com/camarov6

well i have gotten a ticket for the exhaust and i would have gotten two of them but i guess the cop felt sorry for me since he had pulled me over the very next day after i got the ticket. im planning on getting headers and a high flow cat but dont know when that will happen. i know that its loud and i didnt necessarily mean that i wanted it to be louder, i was just trying to say that it isnt that loud inside the car. at times it is hard to have conversation on the cell phone especially when i have the windows down but most of the time i thinks its just because of the wind and because my cell phone sucks, sometimes i have a hard time hearing people. hell, for all i know my car might be loud as hell inside and my phone works just fine but the problem might be that im going deaf.
oh and the reason i got the ticket for the exhaust was because i was driving at night on the freeway and i had tinted windows, i was going a little over the speed limit and i passed a chp car so i got pulled over for the tint, not the exhaust but they gave me a ticket for both. and the second time i dont know if it was lapd or some other police department but he followed me out of a parking structure where i had set off a few alarms just by turning on the car.

Meh I'm just goin to run my headers, right down to where my cat would normally be, but only a blank pipe there for some reason I guess my car is special cause I didn't do it. And then a z-28s borla cat-back system after that, few different hangers and a little work, but it will be a cake walk, also running the dual tip ends think they are 2 1/2"s each, that should give me a nice mellow tone until its cracked open. I'll get a clip as soon as its done.1995 Camaro 3.4 A4

CAI,IAT Relocate
