cat question

[99 RS Camaro]

if i were to ditch my cat and just run a pipe in place of it what should i expect? will it be any louder, i assume it will run a little better? thanks for the responses

From questions similar to this that were posted before it seems that your car will be much louder and suddenly lose its ability to pass emissions.

no emission problems here, no one checks haha... i say go for it... on other cars i've had i got a little advantage is mpg, not too noticeble and about the same for hp... you won't be able to tell much of a difference, a slight bit louder but nothing to bother you and its cheaper then buying a high flow

well its off, and noticable louder, not that it was really quite before but both me, my girlfriend and my dad say its louder, which i like, i drove it about 50 miles with no SES light then soon as i pull into my apt it comes on....thoughts on what i can do to make it go off? and blldog you were right, it is a little ricier up top but oh well sounds mean down low

You can either get an O2 sim or get it tuned out.
