Hey. In my last question you replied to me about a Borla made for the v6. I see one listed at Thunder racing but it says for 98+ will this have a chance of fitting my 96? And btw, it is listed as being a complete 3" cat-back, so isn't this the same as the v8 system?

The answer to both of your questions is yes.
I have been looking for a hour and a half to see where I saw a V6 Version.
Think I found it.
Camaro/Firebird 1998-99 3.8L, Adjustable, Split Rear Exit, Dual Square Angled-Cut Intercooled Tips P/N 157-14813
From Jegs.
That will fit your model as well! The only difference is the Hangers. Nothing an exhaust shop can't do!
I would call them right now for you, but my step-mom is hogging up the phone!2000 NBM Pontiac Firebird
3800GT Performance Package

Intake, Magnaflow Cat, Flowmaster Cat-Back

Thanks a lot... my last question for you is that then there is no difference between the v8 and v6 models, they are essentially the same thing... Single Cat, 3'' Adjustable, Split Rear Exit, Dual Square Angle-Cut Intercooled Tips... or Adjustable, Split Rear Exit, Dual Square Angled-Cut Intercooled Tips... so i can basically purchase either one right??

If you are talking about fitment, there is no difference. If you get the 3" Model, try to find a system for the 93-95 LT1 V8. Their exhaust route is just like ours. If you can't, no worries! Get one for the dual-cat models (96-97 LT1 & 98-02 LS1), the only thing you need for those is an S-Pipe, which you could buy, or have an exhaust shope make for cheap.
However, there is a difference in The Intermediate & Over-Axle pipe diameters. They are as follolws....
Stock V6...................2.25"
V6 Performance Exhaust.....2.5"
Stock V8...................2.75"
V8 Performance Exhaust.....3"
Since you have a 3.8L V6, you can get either one! With the 3", you will get a deeper exhaust note and improved top-end pulling power, however, you car will lose a LITTLE Low-End torque.
The loss will only be noticiable from 1000-2800 Rpm's. Once you're over that, it pulls hard!
If you, or anyone else has questions about exhaust and intake, feel free to contact me! I have been studying Intake & Exhaust for the L34, L36, LT1 & LS1. I have friends that have all kinds, that come for me for some advice.
Good Luck!
