  • Ram Air 3.8

A question I've had for a while....is there anyway to make a ram air 3.8 on a 97 model? I know its possible 98+, but can one make a true ram air 3.8 with a 97?

buy a ram air hood (700bucks) or fabricate your own sheet metal ram air box from below. 96 & 97's are stuck pretty puch with a cold air intake from slp or we can make a homemade one from home depot parts.

I think im the only one in history to sucessfuly have a ram air setup on a '96/'97 3.8. Of course it should be pretty easy to adapt a SS of that year air box but the price tag on them are like over $300. I've never seen any other 3.8 around with this type of ram air setup. I have a sheet metal ram air box that fits right into the hood. It looks like the ones you'd see on an SS but just sheetmetal. It worked quite well. The only down side is you have to relocate your power steering resevoir, which isn't that hard really. I don't have it on my car no more, and im selling my car anyway. If you want it, it's yours dude. Give me like $10 shipping or something. I got pics of it. Email me at zennx@yahoo.com if you want it.
